The Process
Planning
Date & Time
We will discuss what day works best for both of us and what time to meet. I shoot late evenings, about 2 to 3 hours before sunset. I book during the weekdays and on very select weekends. Have a few days in mind so we can get you scheduled.
Location Selection
Included in my session is locations within 30 minutes of Payson, AZ. Locations farther than 30 minutes are possible for an additional charge. I love exploring new areas! You can see a list of my suggested locations below.
Outfit Choices
When it comes to outfit choices, I recommend going with what is comfortable. This session is supposed to show how you are, which means going with something you are used to wearing. This doesn’t mean you can’t go all out with new clothes and such, it just means do what you want to do vs. what you think you should do.
The session
Arrival
I recommend showing up a few minutes early so you can make sure to arrive calm and relaxed. We will chat for a few minutes, giving pointers and what you can expect from me, and then we will jump right in; so be dressed in your first outfit and ready to go!
During the session
I like to keep locations fairly close so we can maximize your shooting time, however, we have plenty of time to change locations to get an excellent variety of pictures. You will also be able to changes outfits as we go.
Final Product
Preview
I will have a selection of pictures that are what we call quick edited. This just means that I will edit to a consistent look, but leave the natural retouching and final edits until after. From the Quick Edits, you will have the opportunity to select your 25 images from this selection. I will then make the final edits and natural retouching.
Final
These final images will go into a gallery that you will be able to share with your friends and family, as well as order desired prints.
Things to keep in MInd
Outfits
Of course, I recommend outfits you are comfortable with, however, I also think of how the shoot will go. Please choose your outfits with the idea of being appropriate and full coverage (for you girls). Throughout the shoot, I will have you moving all around (turning over your shoulder, walking, sitting, lying on the ground, etc.) So wear something that will cover so it is one less thing to worry about during the shoot.
Props
If you have some desired props, please let me know ahead of time as I would love to plan them into the session! Props can be a great way to showcase what you like and who you are; it helps tell a story with your pictures. Not sure what to possibly bring, you 1, don’t have to; but 2, get with me, I would love to chat about what you could bring!
Picture Amount
I will supply you with a selection of image that you can choose your 25 images from. If you would like more than 25, I am happy to final edit more for you. That is an extra $25/image.
